The Leader
in Steep Incline Belts

Tailored strategies thoughtfully designed to enhance growth and optimize processes.

Beltwall’s engineering team reviews each application to ensure optimal efficiency and the lowest cost per ton conveyed. For new projects, we offer expert support with layout reviews, belt specifications, and budgetary cost studies. For existing systems, we conduct site surveys and recommend improvements to belt design and overall system performance to keep operations running at their best

  • Enhanced durability with two high-strength, low-stretch cross-rigid plies for increased splice service life.
  • Improved crack resistance using a special fiber-loaded compound to reduce sidewall wear.
  • Unmatched bond strength with vulcanized cleats and sidewalls for superior performance.
  • Long-lasting efficiency with replaceable urethane cleat blades that maintain carrying capacity under heavy loads.‍

The Building Blocks of Beltwall

Compounds

Engineered for durability and performance, our specialized rubber compounds resist wear, impact and harsh conditions.

Base Belts

Designed for strength and flexibility, Beltwall base belts provide the foundation for reliable steep incline conveying.

Cleats

Our cleats are vulcanized for maximum bond strength, with optional replaceable urethane blades to handle heavy loads.

Sidewalls

Reinforced for superior flexibility and crack resistance, Beltwall sidewalls keep materials secure, even at the steepest angles.

Replacement Belts

Whether upgrading or maintaining your system, we offer replacement belts built to match your exact specifications.

FAQs

How long has sidewall conveyor technology been available?

Sidewall belts have been in use since the 1960s.

What industries use Beltwall?

Beltwall serves industries including steel mills, mining, sand and gravel, energy, recycling and tunneling.

Why should I choose a sidewall vs. troughed conveyor?

Smaller Footprint – Sidewall conveyors handle inclines up to 90°, requiring far less space than a troughed conveyor, which is typically limited to 15 – 20°.Lower Overall Cost – While the belt itself costs more per meter, sidewall conveyors require less structural support, making them an overall more economical solution. Reduced Power Consumption – A 90° sidewall conveyor uses less power than a troughed conveyor for the same lift and tonnage. Less Maintenance – With fewer rotating components, sidewall conveyors minimize maintenance compared to traditional troughed systems. Fewer Transfer Points – The ability to transition from horizontal to vertical and back reduces transfer points and drive requirements, improving efficiency.

Where are Beltwall belts manufactured?

We manufacture our belts in St. Louis, MO, and Vancouver, WA.

Is a special base belt required?

Yes, most sidewall conveyors use a cross-rigid base belt for added lateral support. Fabric-based belts include EE or EP tension plies with two monofilament or steel cross-rigid plies. Higher tension systems use steel cord belts with steel cross-rigid plies. Beltwall also conducts internal lab testing to ensure durability and performance.

How are cleats and sidewalls attached to the belt?

Cleats and sidewalls are installed using hot vulcanization, which involves heat, pressure and uncured rubber to create a superior bond with the belt. This ensures long-term durability.

Can Beltwall design a belt specification for my project?

Yes, Beltwall can calculate the correct belt specification based on factors like layout dimensions, material properties, tonnage and ambient conditions. We also determine minimum pulley sizes, belt tensions and power requirements.

Can Beltwall assist with modifying an existing sidewall system?

Yes, we can review your system’s new requirements and determine the necessary changes to ensure compatibility and performance.

Does Beltwall provide installation services?

No, Beltwall sells through an extensive network of distributors and OEMs. If installation services are needed, we can recommend an installer in your area.
